Kyle Richards reveals why she marvels at her daughter’s makeup routine

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has learned a thing or two about makeup from 16-year-old daughter Portia Umansky.

While recently speaking to People, the Halloween actress, 55, admitted that she marvels over her daughter’s abilities in the cosmetic department. 

‘I watch Portia do her contouring on the way to school, LK21HD.COM and I just can’t even believe what I’m seeing,’ Richards, who is currently going through a separation from husband of 27 years Mauricio Umansky, told the outlet.

‘I mean, the amount of [contour] lines going all over her face… then I just do my regular routine and I’m like, “Is it that different?”‘ the mom-of-four continued. 

But even though Richards prefers a more natural look for herself, she still takes some tips from her youngest daughter from time-to-time.

She told the outlet that Portia always tells her about the latest TikTok beauty trends while they’re on their morning drive to school together.

‘Obviously [at] that age, [she] is very much into learning everything on TikTok,’ the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star admitted. 

But it seems like creating different makeup looks has been a lifelong passion for the high schooler.

When Portia was just 10 years old, she did her older sister Alexia’s makeup for her 21st birthday.

Her mom described Portia’s makeup abilities as an ‘art form’ in a March 2018 interview with the outlet.

At the time, Richards also shared that she gave Portia some of her old products she doesn’t use anymore and other products that she can ‘play with.’

Alexia, now 28, is a reality star in her own right, as she and sister Sophia Umansky, 24, star on Netflix reality show Buying Beverly Hills together, alongside dad Mauricio.

The girls’ eldest sister, Farrah Aldjufrie, 35, who Richards had with first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie, also plays a large role in the show.

Richards is currently filming the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, alongside costars Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais 

During the last season of the Bravo hit, Richards broke the news to both her castmates and the audience that she and husband of 27 yeras, Mauricio Umansky would be separating

The reality series follows the ins and outs of Umansky’s high-end real estate company, The Agency, as well as their various teams, including the Umansky Team, which the three daughters are a part of.

Their second season premiered on Netflix this past March.  

Richards herself is now in the middle of filming the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The star was recently photographed breaking down in tears while she spoke to fellow cast member Dorit Kemsley.

During the last season of the Bravo hit, Richards broke the news to both her castmates and the audience that she and Umansky would be separating.

However, the two still remain on good terms, though he has since moved out of their Encino home to a bachelor pad in West Hollywood. 

‘We are good friends and we love each other, so we are very fortunate in that aspect,’ Richards told DailyMail.com exclusively in December.

‘I think that’s why people are confused and sometimes question if it is even true that we’re separated. I even have a hard time believing that we are as well, so I can understand.’
