The Central Executive Board of the NasDem Party recommended the duo Syahrul Munir and Tri Putro Utomo (Santri) as the candidates for regent and deputy regent in the 2024 Gresik election.

Director General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Irman stated that in updating voter data for the simultaneous regional elections starting at the end of 2015, a one-door system is used.
